I’m so delighted to announce that This Place is Magic received the award for Best in General & Contemporary Fiction at the 2024 Indie Author Project Annual Contest!
This is such a special award for me because I’ve loved libraries for as long as I can remember. I’m honored to receive recognition from a judging panel of librarians, especially in a contest that saw over 2000 entries this year! IAP strives to help indie authors reach more readers through public libraries nationwide, and because of this win, This Place is Magic will be available as an e-book to more library patrons across the United States. I’m so appreciative of this organization’s efforts to support indie publishing. Their motto is, “The future is indie,” and I firmly believe that!
I was able to attend the virtual awards ceremony on Indie Author Day (November 1, 2024) and enjoyed getting to see the other winners and runners-up across the contest’s different genres. Check out IAP’s blog post for a full list of winners for this year’s competition!
